party/drift fishing boat, the Tortuga |

|
Party boat fishing uses a large boat capable of carrying a group of fishermen
at a time.
These Key West fishing trips will head out to their chosen spots and
chum up schools of snapper, grunt, grouper, and others. Anglers drop their
lines over the sides and work the nibbles.
Considerably less expensive than private charters, most guests catch
dinner.
Of the three in Key West, the party fishing boat that we recommend and
know you’ll be happy with is the Tortuga, a brand-
new 64 foot x 24 foot, catamaran hull, party fishing boat. Her
features include:
- USCG Certificied
- Powered by two new Yanmar engines
- Free rod, bait, and fishing license
- Spacious fishing deck with bench seating
- Air-conditioned, Full-service galley serving snacks and beverages
- Two modern bathrooms
- Sundeck
The Tortuga is Key West’s only catamaran style party-fishing
boat (meaning a more stable and comfortable boat). The marina
the boat leaves from, Conch Harbor, is located in Old Town Key West -
the most convenient of any party boat.
Fishermen typically catch grouper, snapper, porgy, and cobia. Of course,
other species also join in the action.

| The Florida
Keys are located in the most biologically diverse area of the Atlantic
Ocean. Due to the Gulf of Mexico and the Atlantic Ocean sandwiching
the islands, while the warm Gulf Stream current meanders close by,
the ocean surrounding the Keys contains more species of fish than
anywhere else in the Atlantic.
